Pennsylvania Act 31 of 2014: Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training

Course: #42957Level: Introductory 2 Hours 11 Reviews
Recorded Webinar

This webinar is designed to meet the requirements of biennial licensure renewal for healthcare licensees in Pennsylvania. Content includes the nature of the child welfare system in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the aspects of child abuse in Pennsylvania law, potential indicators of child abuse, the provisions and responsibilities for reporting suspected child abuse, and how to make appropriate referrals to the child welfare system.

Please Note: If you are completing this course as part of license renewal requirements for a Pennsylvania license, AudiologyOnline must report your coursework to the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) on your behalf. On the pre-exam page, you must opt in (i.e., check “yes” for reporting to PA). Provide your full date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number for accurate reporting.

This course was updated in 2020 to include new information required due to changes in the law. Applicants for initial PA licensure should contact their licensing board for resources for the required 3-hour mandated reporter training.
