This course is part of a seven-course series, Congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV): What Health Care Providers Need to Know Now, in partnership with Midwestern University and Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The congenital CMV (cCMV) series presents the latest research on diagnosis and treatment, raise awareness, delineate prevention efforts, provide information about early intervention options, and disseminate family support resources in an effort to reduce the number of babies infected with cCMV.

Stephen Pedron, MD, MBA is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in MFM and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine, served his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency in Phoenix, his MFM subspecialty training at the University of Wisconsin, and earned his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He lives and works as a hi-risk OB subspecialist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Dr. Pedron regularly delivers instructional seminars to working groups, on expert panels, and at conferences. He has taught and rendered care during missions work in Haiti and China. He is heavily embedded in community work. His other passions include family, travel, cooking, racing (anything that uses motive force) and German Shepherds, among others. Dr. Pedron has a gaggle of children and grandchildren.
