The full scope of audiology includes assessment and rehabilitation of hearing and balance disorders, however, there is a large disparity of coursework and credit hours spent teaching vestibular assessment and rehabilitation in comparison to hearing assessment and rehabilitation based on preliminary survey data. This course will offer practical tips and increase comfort in applying vestibular principles in the general audiology population.
Please note: You may earn ABA Tier 1 credits for this course if you complete it as part of the course 33989, "Vestibular Education and Rehabilitation, presented in partnership with Salus University." Course 33989 contains recordings of both events from our 2019 series on Vestibular Education and Rehabilitation. - After this course, participants will be able to identify and describe when bedside vestibular evaluations are warranted in the general audiological population.
- After this course, participants will be able to properly perform various bedside vestibular evaluations; including Halmagyi Head Thrust and Fukuda Step Tests.

AuD, PhD
Dr. Myers completed her Master’s degree in Audiology at Bloomsburg University in 2003. She completed her clinical doctorate in audiology (AuD) in 2006, and PhD in Biomedicine in 2013 at Salus University. In 2006 she opened and co-owned Berks Hearing Professionals for 10 years. She is currently Assistant Professor in the Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University. Her book, The Vestibular Lab Manual is currently in it’s 2nd edition. She serves as an assistant editor for Audiology Today and Plural Publishing Inc. Her areas of teaching and research include vestibular diagnostics, best clinical practices, and inter-professional education.
