Starkey is excited to bring you a three-part series on the Inspire fitting software for an in-depth look at the professionally driven and patient-focused tools that make fitting Starkey hearing aids effortless. This course, the second of three in this series, will focus on the Inspire features that provide effortless hearing for patients. We’ll discuss the implementation of Starkey Sound for optimizing speech and music signals and for effectively managing background noise, and we’ll also review Multiflex Tinnitus Technology and Frequency Lowering. You’ll learn how to provide patients with the sound quality and performance they want with the fitting flexibility you need. The final future course in this series will explore effortless fine tuning and follow up tools to further customize patient fittings.

Sarah Lewandowski graduated from Purdue University in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. In 2011 she earned her Doctorate in Audiology from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating, Sarah joined Denver Ear Associates, a Neurotology practice, where she obtained extensive experience in diagnostic audiological evaluations, fitting hearing aids, surgical nerve monitoring, and assessing balance disorders. Sarah practiced at Denver Ear through Spring 2013. Sarah has been a part of the Education and Training team at Starkey Hearing Technologies since Spring 2013. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence through American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. Sarah also is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and Colorado Academy of Audiology. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, snowboarding and taking advantage of all Denver has to offer.

Dr. Andrea Hannan Dawkes joined Starkey in 2010 as a member of the Education and Training team. In her current role as a senior member of the group, she assists in the development of educational materials, leads training classes, and serves as the liaison for Starkey’s university and student initiatives. Prior to joining Starkey, Dr. Hannan Dawkes worked as a clinical audiologist in a variety of prominent medical centers, served as an audiology clinical supervisor and adjunct faculty member at Hofstra University, and contributed to research efforts involving signal detection, hearing aid performance, and signal processing. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Audiology from the University of Maryland at College Park and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
