Course: #5559Level: Intermediate 1 Hour 1 ReviewThis course focuses on three areas related to pediatric hearing aid fittings: (a) fitting based on electrophysiological threshold predictions; (b) new norms for baby ear canal resonances; (c) competent use of fitting software specifically for babies.

- Participants will be able to discuss how to use ABR or ASSR thresholds to fit hearing aids.
- Participants will be able to describe baby-friendly procedures to make real-ear measurements.
- Participants will be able to describe the necessity of verifying each pediatric hearing aid fitting.

Dr. Susan Scollie is an Associate Professor at the National Centre for Audiology, University of Western Ontario. With colleagues, she developed version 5.0 of the DSL method for hearing aid fitting. Her current research focuses on frequency compression signal processing, and outcomes of hearing aids for infants, children and adults.
