Learning Outcomes
- After this course, participants will be able to explain how the Esteem Fully-Implanted Active Middle Ear Implant (FI-AMEI) works, the benefits to this technology, and who is a candidate for the Esteem Implant.
- After this course, participants will be able to describe how to successfully navigate the software, program the Esteem Implant, and manage Esteem Implant programming challenges such as feedback, temporary middle ear dysfunction and changes in residual hearing.
- After this course, participants will be able to describe how to counsel Esteem Implant recipients on battery life, warranty, MRI compatibility, querying their device and Personal Programmer use.

Caroline Arnedt, Au.D joined Envoy Medical as an employee in the role of a Clinical Support Audiologist in 2024 to provide product and technical support for Envoy Medical’s products. She previously worked as a cochlear implant audiologist at the University of Michigan Cochlear Implant Program and has worked with pediatric and adult cochlear implant recipients for over 20 years. She has previously served as a research audiology consultant for Kresge Hearing Research Institute at the University of Michigan Medical School and as a study coordinator for the Childhood Development after Cochlear Implantation study, a multi-site, longitudinal clinical research study looking at factors affecting performance of pediatric cochlear implant recipients. Caroline has presented nationally on various topics related to cochlear implants, pediatric audiology, and auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder.
