Kimberly Skinner, AuD, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology at A.T. Still University. After 18 years in private practice, she pursued a research doctorate in speech and hearing sciences. Her dissertation work involved aging effects on behavioral measures of listening effort. She loves to bridge the clinic-research gap, and her interests include psychoacoustics, aging and cognition, and audiology education. Dr. Skinner has taught doctor of audiology courses to multiple cohorts in several programs. She loves being part of students’ learning and growth and witnessing those “aha!” moments when students understand a difficult concept.

Danica Billingsly, AuD (she/they) is a clinical associate professor of audiology and a PhD candidate in Instructional Technology at Northern Illinois University. Her clinical background includes work with all ages in private and corporate medical and audiology practices, with a focus on care of people experiencing life transitions and those experiencing tinnitus and sound sensitivities. Her research line applies educational theory and technological solutions to audiology clinical education.
