It is now outdated for information since there has been a new Phonak Transmitter for at least about 3 years that is digital modulation, i.e., Roger Touchscreen Mic, versus the outdated inspiro transmitter. Also, just recently Cochlear released a new sound processor, Nucleus 8. However, the overall information is very useful for the topic of this article and makes excellent reasons for why children should be implanted as soon as they are found to be a candidate.
