Beyond the First 60 Days: Using Blended Care to Improve Patient Outcomes Over the Long Haul

Course: #35689Level: Intermediate 1 Hour 171 Reviews
Recorded Webinar

The benefits of consistent, full-time hearing aid use are twofold: Improve communication in daily listening situations and enhance health-related outcomes. A challenge, however, is that many patients struggle with becoming independent problem-solvers when faced with challenges associated with hearing aid use. Too often, when faced with these challenges, individuals give up and stop wearing their devices or are faced with having to make an inconvenient or undesirable number of return visits to the clinic.
This course will demonstrate how the Theory of Auditory Enablement can be used to determine which patients are most likely to benefit from a blended approach to hearing care and how device-related problems with the hearing aid that occur over the first year of use can be resolved with a blended care model. Signia AI-based tools used in the blended care process will also be discussed.
