Jackie Davie
PhD
Jackie Davie earned her Ph.D. in Communication Disorders from Penn State University while working as a research assistant on the NIH-funded Penn State Health and Development Project. She has extensive experience in teaching, research, and clinical precepting. She has served in various academic roles, including mentoring over 20 doctoral theses and teaching at institutions such as Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and Nova Southeastern University, where she currently teaches courses in audiology and new faculty development. Clinically, Dr. Davie specializes in audiometric assessment and habilitation pediatric and special populations, having worked at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and South Florida Pediatric Otolaryngology and NSU’s Audiology Clinic, both in Fort Lauderdale.
Dr. Davie has held leadership roles, including Vice President of Education for the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology and Regional Coordinator for the Special Olympics of Florida Healthy Hearing Program. She has authored publications and has presented nationally and internationally on otitis media, hearing screenings, and physiologic and electrophysiologic assessment. She is a peer mentor in immittance assessment for GSI. At NSU, she contributes to academic committees, faculty development, and student mentorship while advancing research and education in audiology.
