Nikolai Bisgaard

Nikolai Bisgaard graduated from the Technical University of Denmark as M.Sc EE (1976) with a thesis on psychoacoustic test procedures. Nikolai Bisgaard has worked in the hearing industry for GN Hearing from 1978 to 2021. He was responsible for all product development as VP of R&D in GN Resound from 1984 to 1999. Nikolai Bisgaard has for 20 years held management positions in industry bodies like the HIMSA, and HIMPP and has been continuously active in EHIMA committees. Nikolai Bisgaard is currently an Independent Researcher. Nikolai Bisgaard and then served as project leader for the effort to develop the ISO standard 21388– Hearing aid fitting management that was published in March 2020. Prior to that, he led the effort to develop standard audiograms and the International Speech Test Signal (ISTS). He is currently serving as project leader under IEC TC29/WG13 to develop a new standard for Bluetooth-based Assistive Listening Systems.
