This course examines how SmartMusic Pro, a new listening program offered in products on the Extend platform, improves the amplification of music compared to previously offered programs.

After attending this course, participants will be able to determine if someone is a candidate for Bone Conduction technology using Baha Start, the Osia System, or the Baha System. This course is designed to provide participants with information on the New Ponto 5 Mini System. Audiologists will learn about several new features that have been incorporated into the Ponto 5 Mini including OpenSound Optimizer, Oticon RemoteCare, Specialized Programs, and Pediatric Fitting Tools.

This course discusses ecologically momentary assessment methodologies to evaluate the real-life benefit of present and emerging technologies impacting hearing health and describe the advantages and limitations of the novel methodology. The second half will introduce design thinking and how this human-centered process has been applied to create a solution to help people with hearing difficulties understand conversations better, reduce frustration, and improve communication.
