This course will discuss verification considerations unique to open and vented hearing instruments. Unique Audioscan verification technology that facilitates accurate and efficient open fitting verification on-ear and in the test box will be described and demonstrated.

This presentation provides an overview of transgender identity for clinical audiologists and summarizes the social, legal, and medical landscape of transgender identity as it relates to audiology and the auditory and vestibular systems.

This course will provide an in-depth review of Unitron TrueFitTM fitting software, review what’s new in Unitron TrueFit v5.4, highlight Unitron’s signature features, and review Experience Innovations. Finally, to support continuous patient success, we will review troubleshooting tips and tricks specific for Unitron products and features.

This course discusses two recently recognized components of sensorineural hearing loss that can challenge speech understanding in noise despite normal or restored audibility, and contribute to divergent listening outcomes among patients with similar audiograms. The diversity of possible cochlear pathophysiology profiles that can occur under the common umbrella of sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) highlights the need for precision diagnostic tools that can guide further individualization of hearing devices, and improve the specificity of candidacy evaluations for pharmacological interventions that are on the horizon.
