This foundational-level course is designed for audiologists who are new to working with Baha systems. After attending this course, participants will be able to list the features and benefits of Baha Systems, including Baha 5 sound processors. They will be provided with information about choosing sound processors and accessories for patients based on pre-operative testing. This course is designed as part of the overall “Foundations of Baha Implants” series.

Telepractice in hearing healthcare will be an invaluable addition to current clinical practice, when patients are faced with barriers such as long-distance travel and access to Audiologists. This presentation will include the rationale for establishing a teleaudiology program as well as identifying the equipment requirements and training critical personnel. The session will address licensure, coding and reimbursement, and HIPAA issues. Helpful tips will be presented to creating a successful telepractice in audiology. These key performance indicators are foundational for the success of a telepractice.
