I have been looking at various RITE hearing aids and wanted more information on the Bernafon brite. What is the bandwidth of this hearing aid and expected battery life?
Answer
The bandwidth for brite, in a 2cc coupler and as per S3.22-6.8, is 140-6800Hz. In the real ear simulator (711 coupler) the bandwidth is measured at 180-7500Hz The difference is due to the slightly altered acoustics of the 711 coupler compared to the 2cc. The 2cc coupler is the one used when technical data is quoted against the Standard.
Regarding expected battery life, under normal use conditions, a 312 battery in brite should provide around 120 hours use.
