Paperless Documentation

Question

In an effort to cut costs in my practice, I am going paperless. However, I am a little hesitant to store all my patient data on a computer. Do you know of any systems that can help store my information securely while still giving me easy access to the information I need on a daily basis?

Answer

Audiologists know how costly it is to handle paper, from storing files to all the time it takes to find one, to the cost of losing one. The numbers are really staggering. The cost to create one filing cabinet full of paper documents is $25,000. It costs about $350 to recreate a lost document. What happens if you lose all these files? Many people, like you, have been asking for a product that addresses these concerns for some time.

Sycle's eDocs enables our users to get one step closer to a completely paperless environment. It's patient-centric, so every patient summary within Sycle will have an electronic folder structure that you can customize to get those file cabinets out of the office, or at least into storage. eDocs will also enable multiple-clinic users to be able to access the same patient information from the Web, anywhere in the world. Even with a single location, a clinician might want to go home early to fix dinner for the kids before she completes a physician report, but she can jump online at home and access it there.

Users can customize eDocs as much as they want. You can also download, upload, and scan documents into folders. Data is safe and secure in our system. All the information is on our servers, in two locations. Your files are completely safe, no matter what. Sycle absorbs all the costs of the storage and the file management for you. We've found that eDocs provides a kind of second insurance for practices. If something were to happen, such as a fire, tornado, flood, et cetera, all the user has to do is buy another computer, and they're up and running again.
