Question

I have a client interested in using FM with his hearing aids but he is concerned about security - i.e., that someone will be able to pick up on his conversations. He works in a medical practice where privacy is very important.

Answer

In regard to eavesdropping, Comfort Audio's Comfort Contego® HD digital wireless FM system transmits its signal encrypted to prevent electronic eavesdropping. The transmitter and receiver are paired by the transmitter sending a coded key to the receiver. The digital, coded radio transmission makes it impossible to intercept a conversation. Multiple receivers can be paired with a transmitter. In provides all wearers with privacy, and is ideal for use in situations where security is of the utmost importance such as courtrooms, government offices, medical practices, and business situations.
