Question

How does Phonak's commitment to Going Beyond traditional measures provide superior wax protection options?

Answer

Part of my work at Phonak entails listening to the voices of our customers, and ensure we are ‘Going Beyond’ with innovation, expertise, customer success, and especially in terms of quality.

Cerumen protection is always top of mind regarding hearing aid quality and durability. You want to provide your patients with a wax protection system that is easy to use yet still effective in protecting the receiver.

We have listened to feedback from customers over the past few years and have reintroduced CeruStop as a wax protection option for our receivers. With Phonak RIC products, you now have even more options for wax protection.

CeruStop

Customers can now choose CeruStop (SDS 5 receivers) or CeruShield (SDS 4.0 receivers) when placing orders for most RIC devices. This allows you the flexibility to choose what is best for you, your clinic and your patient. The new receivers are also backward compatible with most existing Lumity, Paradise, and Marvel RICs.

A follow-up question you’re likely to have is: How can I tell the difference between the receivers? Spotting the difference is easy – the new CeruStop receivers have a white line next to the size/power indicator.

Watch this step-by-step video to see how CeruStop can be changed in less than 2 minutes. This is a great resource to share with your patients as they acclimate to their new hearing aids.
