Question

How does Phonak Infinio Sphere revolutionize the patient’s experience in noise?

Answer

It is widely known that hearing in the presence of background noise is the number one predictor of hearing aid satisfaction. Hearing care providers also know that first impressions matter. Thanks to the combined power of a two-chip system and Spheric Speech Clarity™, with Phonak’s Infinio Sphere hearing aids, the world goes away, but the voices stay. Hearing in background noise and being in the moment when it counts the most has never been easier for hearing aid wearers!

1

Phonak Infinio is different from anything released before. Imagine a world where your patients are two to three times more likely to understand speech from any direction when compared to two top industry-leading competitors1. Your patients will experience exceptional sound quality from the first moments of wearing Infinio Sphere devices thanks to the power of our newest digital signal processing chip (ERA™) plus the industry’s first dedicated AI sound processing chip (DEEPSONIC™).

Together, these two components work to instantly separate speech from background noise in any direction. The ERA chip works within the guidance of our new proprietary fitting formula, Adaptive Phonak Digital version 3.0 (APD 3.0), which aims to compensate for a patient’s hearing loss, restore dynamic range, and maintain and improve environmental awareness.

It is also known for patient satisfaction with first-fit experiences due to excellent sound quality, with 93% of study participants preferring the first fit with APD 3.0 compared with the first fit from another leading manufacturer.

DEEPSONIC is a proprietary Deep Neural Network (DNN) that was created by Phonak and is unparalleled at tackling the infamous crowded party conundrum. With the combined power of APD 3.0, our AI-based scene classifier, AutoSense OS 6.0, and DEEPSONIC, Phonak Infinio Sphere hearing aids de-noise difficult listening situations for your patients and unlock a world of possibilities for hearing in noise.

For patients, this means no more “following their nose” when in background noise!

The primary function of DEEPSONIC is to separate speech from noise when the signal of intent is unfavorably compared to the noise around it. By providing up to a ten-decibel improvement in signal-to-noise ratio, your patients will effortlessly hear what was said by their friend, colleague, loved one, or even a stranger, without having to constantly follow their nose.

With Infinio Sphere devices, our dream for patients to hear well in background noise has become a reality!

With Infinio Sphere, your patients can access our best suite of features to help them hear in any situation. From hearing soft speech in a quiet environment to hearing well in the most challenging of listening environments, features such as Speech Enhancer and Spheric Speech Clarity support your patients and are proven to reduce listening effort2,3. Not only are Infinio aids a level-up for digital sound processing, but they also include a new patented antenna design allowing for six times the wireless transmission power than previously.

Patients can also connect instantly via Bluetooth device due to the ultra-responsive, uninterrupted, hands-free calling and streaming…even when there is up to twice the distance between them and their chosen Bluetooth device. This means improved power management of the hearing aids, the ability to answer phone calls with greater distance between the hearing aids and the phone, and more seamless transitions between amplification and streaming.

For you, as a provider, the benefits of Infinio technology mean peace of mind, more time back in your day, and confidence in this incredible Phonak solution! It means less time spent troubleshooting Bluetooth connectivity and more time connecting with your patients!
