Beltone PrimeNew In-The-Ear Design Offers One Visit Fitting Meets the Needs of Active, On-The-Go Patients.

(July 16, 2013) Chicago, IL — https://www.beltone.com/ — Beltone, a leader in hearing aids for over 70 years, has announced the introduction of Beltone Prime™, the only microphone-in-concha in-the-ear hearing aids that offer the benefit of a one visit fitting. The Beltone Prime’s distinctive design fits entirely inside the ear canal, using the natural contours of the ear to maximize sound quality.

“Beltone Prime was designed to meet the needs of active, on-the-go patients who want the benefits of an in-the-ear design instead of an aid that rests on the ear,” says Dr. John Cariola, Director of Product Management at Beltone. “With our most advanced technology and feature sets, patients can enjoy an exceptional listening experience along with ease-of-wear and incredible discretion – all in one office visit.”

The Beltone Prime hearing aids use the anatomy of the inner ear to mimic natural hearing. By positioning the microphone in the curve of the ear, sound is received and processed much like natural hearing. The design also allows the hearing aid to fit comfortably, stay in place, and appear virtually invisible to the outside viewer. The Beltone Prime hearing aids can be fit in one office visit so patients can walk out with a well-fitting hearing aid the same day as their appointment.

Beltone Prime is available in 17 or 9 channels. Features include:

  • Feedback Eraser With WhistleStop – Beltone Prime hearing aids stay quiet when other objects come close to the hearing device.
  • HPF80 NanoBlock™ - HPF80 NanoBlock coating repels moisture and dirt, protecting the hearing aids inside and out.
  • Curvilinear WDRC – WDRC amplifies the softer sounds the wearer wants to hear and prevents loud sounds from being uncomfortable or distracting.
  • Sound Cleaner Pro and Smart Gain Pro – Sound Cleaner Pro and Smart Gain Pro detect a change in sound level or noise environment and automatically adjust the Beltone Prime hearing aids.
