Lisa Davidson is an associate professor in the CID Research Department at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., in addition to being the Director of Audiology Outcomes at the CID Oral School for the Deaf. She has been involved in the programming and fitting of cochlear implants and hearing aids at CID since 1987. She has participated in data collection as well as test and curriculum development for research projects involving children using different sensory aids as well as projects designed to evaluate strategies to optimize cochlear implants and hearing aids for children. She is the primary investigator on an NIH sponsored grant (R01 DC012778NIH/NIDCD)- “The Effects of Early Acoustic Hearing for Pediatric Cochlear Implant Recipients”. Dr. Davidson is also a faculty member in the Program in Audiology and Communication Sciences (PACS) at Washington University School of Medicine.

Prof Artur Lorens Ph.D. Eng. is head of the Implants and Auditory Perception Department in the Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing, Warsaw. His scientific interests focus in the field of application of cochlear implant systems, psychoacoustics and auditory perception modeling. Member of the Polish Scientific Association of the Hearing and Communication Disorders, the American Auditory Society, the International Society of Audiology, the European Society for Artificial Organs, the European Academy of Otology & Neurootology. Scientist in charge of the HearingTreat Marie Curie EU project (2006-2010). Main executor of five projects of the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research.

Lauren Yoshihiro, MS, CCC-SLP is a pediatric speech-language pathologist with the Hearing Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Lauren provides specialized intervention and aural (re)habilitation for patients who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Deaf+ who require a Total Communication approach to communicate. This includes spoken language, sign language, and/or augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) methods to establish functional communication skills due to their language needs/deprivation, medical history and/or co-morbidities, or hearing and vision status. Lauren received her Master’s of Science in Speech, Language, and Learning from Northwestern University in 2018 and has been with Nationwide Children’s Hospital for 5 years. She is specialized to work with children from birth-23 years.
